Child and Family Professional Counselling Services and Therapy

Supporting Neurodiverse Children and Their Families with Compassionate, Evidence-Based Therapy

I provide professional counselling and therapy services tailored to the unique needs of neurodiverse children and their families. With a deep understanding of neurodevelopmental differences such as autism, ADHD, and sensory processing challenges, my approach is strengths-based, affirming, and inclusive. Using a transdiagnostic approach, I work collaboratively with children, parents, and educators to support emotional wellbeing, build practical skills, and foster meaningful connections. Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, school challenges, or family dynamics, I’m here to help your child or adolescent to thrive in a world that understands and respects who they are.

Why I Use a Transdiagnostic Approach

Every child is unique, and their challenges don’t always fit neatly into one label or diagnosis. That’s why I use a transdiagnostic approach — instead of focusing only on a specific diagnosis (like anxiety, ADHD, or autism), I look at the bigger picture: what’s happening underneath the behaviour, what’s driving the distress, and what strengths we can build on.

This approach helps me support children more holistically by addressing common underlying processes — like emotional regulation, sensory sensitivities, or difficulties with flexibility — that often show up across different diagnoses. It means therapy is more tailored, more flexible, and more focused on what your child specifically needs, not just what a label suggests.
